The Baro

We wanted to create a top that can be used for biking, hiking, trekking, running, and other outdoor activities. But at the same time, we want it to be cool enough for the office, the mall, or even church. The final output is the Baro.

It has always been our advocacy to promote traditional Filipino weave patterns. Understandably, actual authentic fabrics are not suited for sport. But displaying them and giving credit to the source will hopefully open the eyes of many people to appreciate them more. And, possibly, get the authentic traditional fabrics for their non-sport activities.

These prints were inspired by the weavings of the Blaan and Pintados.
